What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that the sites you visit send to your device, where they are stored and then sent back to those same sites on your next visit. Some features we now take for granted rely on this technology, or on similar ones such as the browser’s local storage.
This site does not use profiling cookies
PrecisionFert does not set any cookies of its own and does not use analytics or profiling tools (such as Google Analytics). This is why the site has no cookie consent banner: there is no consent to ask for, because we do not track your browsing.
The site does, however, call on a few external services in order to work, and these may set their own technical cookies or log your IP address under their respective notices:
- Google Fonts: when pages load, certain typefaces are requested from Google’s servers, which may log the visitor’s IP address under Google’s own privacy notice.
- Open-Meteo: in the Tools section, the GDD Calendar requests weather and climate data from this external service in order to produce the figures shown on screen.
- Mailchimp: only when you choose to submit the newsletter subscription form is your email address passed to this external service for processing. No data is sent unless you submit the form yourself.
Unlike the newsletter, the contact form relies on no external service at all: the message is sent directly from your own email program, without passing through third-party servers.
Managing cookies from your browser
You can manage or delete any cookies present on your device at any time through your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Every browser has its own dedicated section, usually reachable from the privacy or security settings.
